The Purpose and Vision of Immanuel's Church

We, Immanuel's Church, were brought into being by God to fulfill an awesome purpose: to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known! The end-time promise given to us in Daniel is "The people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits" (Daniel 11:32b, KJV)

1. TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST

"This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent" (John 17:3).
Knowing our God is Immanuel's primary purpose; it is our contemplative side -- worshipping, adoring, seeking, pursuing Him! This purpose is reflected in our three primary core values: to be a radiant people overflowing with love and passion for God; to be a revival people experiencing the ongoing manifest presence of God; and to be a revelation people walking in the biblical truths of our vast riches in Christ Jesus. We are committed to knowing our God!

2. TO MAKE HIM KNOWN; TO BE STRONG AND DO EXPLOITS.

"We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone... so that we might present everyone perfect in Christ" (Colossians 1:28).
Making our Lord known is Immanuel's apostolic side -- sent forth by the Father to proclaim Jesus in all His awesome glory and to present everyone perfect in Him. This purpose is reflected in our final two core values: to be a redemptive and a restorative people, and to be a people responsive to the specific call of God upon our individual lives. We are committed in serving Jesus Christ to making Him known both in this area and to the far ends of the earth.

The Core Values of Immanuel's Church

Spirit-filled

Continually in revival, believing in the infilling power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Pursuing God's manifest Presence through prayer, praise and worship, not only upon Immanuel's Church, but upon the whole Body of Christ.

Bible Teaching

Being a people richly fed on the Holy Scriptures, living with a Biblical world view containing a prophetic revelation of God.

Loving

A redemptive family living with a determination to share the love of God to people of all nationalities and generations. A family full of the mercy and grace of God; sharing God's redemptive heart for the lost, the sinful, the fallen, the downtrodden, the needy, and for His broken body, the Church! "You will be loved at Immanuel's Church!"

Prophetic

An interceding people who prophetically declare the Kingdom of God in the face of this world's injustices, declaring the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ, declaring the restoration of Israel to Christ, and committed to fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) through reaching out to our local community, our nation and our world.

Involved

A people fully involved and responsive to the holy call of God, committed to seeing every member of His Body discover their calling and being empowered to fulfill that calling, and so receiving the gifts and the ministries of each and every member of Christ's Body.

OUR ULTIMATE GOAL--these core values will enable us to fulfill our ultimate goal: TO HELP BRING BACK THE KING--to hurry along the personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ in this generation by "hastening the coming of the Day of the God." (II Peter 3:11,12)
